Former Smoky Hill High School standout Julian Garza contributed as his current team, the Adams State Grizzlies, secured a 12-10 victory over the Colorado Christian Cougars in their NCAA Division II baseball matchup at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
ASU Baseball Field hosted the contest. This marked the teams’ third meeting this season. Earlier on Saturday, March 14, the Grizzlies defeated the Cougars 9-8.
Garza pitched 3.2 innings, allowing seven earned runs, with three walks and three strikeouts recorded.
The Grizzlies will take on Colorado Christian Cougars again in their next scheduled game at 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, at ASU Baseball Field.
