The second round of the 2026 CHSAA 4A Boys Basketball State Tournament took place on Saturday, with all games held at the home courts of the top eight seeds. The round featured several close contests and notable moments.

Max Roselle of No. 5 Timnath made two free throws with just 1.4 seconds left, securing a narrow 51-50 win over No. 12 Eagle Ridge Academy for his team. Trey Hall from No. 2 Montezuma-Cortez tipped in his own missed layup as time expired, giving the Panthers a 52-50 victory against No. 18 The Classical Academy.

The winners from Saturday’s games move on to the Great 8, which will be played at the Denver Coliseum on Wednesday. The semifinals are scheduled for Friday, followed by the championship game on Saturday, March 14.

– Denver West over Prospect Ridge Academy, 56-51
– University beating Eaton, 60-51
– Peak to Peak upsetting Holy Family, 64-58

First round games were played on Friday and determined which teams advanced to face higher-seeded opponents in Saturday’s second round.
