Rep. Jason Crow, a U.S. Congressman representing Colorado’s 6th district since 2019, posted a series of statements on May 9, 2026, addressing concerns about military conduct, government accountability, and foreign policy.
In an early morning post, Crow commented on the actions of public figures Pete Hegseth and former President Donald Trump: “Hegseth & Trump think it’s a problem to remind our servicemembers to only follow lawful orders. It tells you everything you need to know about their disregard for the law.” (May 9, 2026).
Later that day, Crow highlighted the role of Inspectors General in government oversight: “Inspectors General exist to keep our elected officials accountable and ensure taxpayer dollars are being spent appropriately. We can’t ignore the rampant corruption under this Administration.” (May 9, 2026).
In another statement posted in the evening, he addressed American attitudes toward international conflict: “Americans have been clear: They don’t want more conflict in the Middle East.” (May 9, 2026).
Crow was born in Madison, Wisconsin in 1979 and currently resides in Aurora. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison with a BA in 2002 and earned his JD from the University of Denver in 2009.
