Join Jill Zastko, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and Smoky Hill staff member, for this mindfulness meditation session. Mindfulness meditation has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep and have positive effects on immune function. Mindfulness has also been shown to increase compassion and empathy as well as feelings of interconnectedness -- essential traits for supporting both individual and collective resilience.
This one-hour session will include:
- Information on the latest science and benefits of mindfulness meditation.
- A guided meditation.
- Time to ask questions, share insights, and connect further with our community of mindfulness practitioners.
- Recommendations on titles and resources for further exploration.
