Aurora Public Schools issued the following announcement on Dec. 10.
A huge effort to serve free meals to our community during the pandemic (3.5+ million meals so far! Deserves a HUGE holiday thank you for all of our Aurora Public Schools Nutrition Services Department staff! The department hosted a socially-distanced drive-thru celebration this week for employees. It transformed the parking lot outside its offices into a winter wonderland. Our Nutrition Services superheroes received a holiday meal and a box full of produce (shout out to Food Bank of the Rockies for partnering with us on the giveaway!).
