Rising home prices in Aurora (Arapahoe County) in the second half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2018 in Aurora in Arapahoe County rose by $20,525 while total sales decreased by 14.2%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2018, there were 3,504 homes sold, with a median sale price of $320,525 - a 6.8% increase over the $300,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 4,082 homes sold in Aurora in the second half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Aurora for 2018 was $1,705. In 2017, the median sales tax was $1,564. This marks an increase of 9.1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.5%.
