The first half of 2018: Byers experienced a 0.5% drop in median home prices

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Byers fell by $1,250 while total sales increased by 300%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 16 homes sold, with a median sale price of $230,000 - a 0.5% decrease over the $231,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Byers in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Byers for 2018 was $911. In 2017, the median sales tax was $903. This marks an increase of 1%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 0.4%.
