WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Accountability, released this statement on the successful evacuation of US embassy staff from Sudan.

In a statement, Congressman Crow said:

“I’m grateful for the safe evacuation of US embassy staff from Sudan. I applaud the skillful work of the military officials to successfully bring every staff member home.

“I join my colleagues in continuing to urge an immediate ceasefire to allow humanitarian aid to reach the civilians tragically caught in the violence. American citizens still trapped in Sudan should remain in close contact with US officials as the Biden Administration works closely with allies and partners to provide assistance.”
