Rep. Jason Crow, a U.S. Congressman representing Colorado’s 6th district, has expressed concerns regarding recent developments in national defense and security through his social media platform. His statements reflect on the nomination of Pete Hegseth as Defense Secretary and the investigation into an attempted assassination against former President Donald Trump.

On December 4, 2024, Rep. Crow shared his apprehensions about the nomination of Pete Hegseth to serve as the next Defense Secretary. He voiced particular concern for "the morale of our female servicemembers" due to Hegseth's belief that women should not serve in combat roles. "The fact that Pete Hegseth believes women should not serve in combat roles should be disqualifying."

On December 5, 2024, Crow commented on a hearing marking the completion of a five-month investigation by the Task Force on Attempted Assassinations of Donald J. Trump (TFAADJT). The hearing aims to address failures leading up to the July 13 assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump. He stated, "We will press Acting Director Rowe on his views of the failures that led to the July 13 assassination attempt against @realDonaldTrump and what is going to be done to remediate them."

Later that day, Rep. Crow elaborated on the comprehensive nature of TFAADJT's investigation over five months which included "46 transcribed interviews with federal, state, and local law enforcement officials and reviewed more than 18,000 pages of documents." He emphasized their thorough approach saying they conducted a detailed inquiry "to get the answers." "We conducted a thorough investigation to get the answers…"
