Free live music and unique performances with Aurora's Summer Concerts and Aurora Rhythms series

Experience free live music and unique performances every month at different city locations with “Summer Jams and Storytime” and Aurora Rhythms 2023, proudly hosted by the city’s Library and Cultural Services Department.

“Summer Jams and Storytime” will feature Aurora Public Library’s new Bookmobile and guest performers offering a fun evening of music and stories. This series will begin at 4:30 p.m. June 6 at Red-tailed Hawk Park, 23701 E. Hinsdale Way, with live story time from the Bookmobile, followed by a craft or an activity, as well as dance performances from Aurora Dance Hearts. From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., the Ninety Percent 90s, a trio known for playing the best (and worst) music of the 1990's, will take the stage. The series continues throughout the summer with different musical acts through Aug. 9. To learn more about this and other exciting performances and to register, visit AuroraGov.org/Concerts.

“Aurora Rhythms 2023 and Summer Jams and Storytime will offer exciting performances and fun activities for the entire family,” said Midori Clark, director of Library and Cultural Services. These concerts are designed to inspire and unite the Aurora community through music, art and local talent.”

The 2023 Aurora Rhythms Concert Series will take place from June to December at different locations throughout the city, including Aurora Public Library branches and the Aurora Fox Arts Center. Vio the Violinist will kick off the season with an entertaining performance at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, at Mission Viejo Library, 15324 E. Hampden Circle. Vio, the violinist armed with ambition and natural talent, is self-taught in both hip-hop and dubstep music that pushes through the boundaries of traditional violin genres. Attendees will also enjoy an opening performance by Aurora Poet Laureate, Ahja Fox and complimentary refreshments. The 2023 Aurora Rhythms Concert Series is free, but registration is required.
