WASHINGTON — Congressman Jason Crow (CO-06), former Army Ranger, released this statement following President Biden’s nomination of Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., current Chief of Staff of the Air Force, as the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the highest-ranking military official in the United States. If confirmed, Gen. Brown will be the first chairman from the Air Force in 18 years.
In a statement, Congressman Crow said:
“Gen. Brown is a respected military leader who has deep field experience in the Indo-Pacific and across the globe. Gen. Brown’s historic nomination comes at a pivotal moment as the United States faces extremist threats at home and great power competition abroad.
