Rep. Jason Crow, a U.S. Congressman representing Colorado's 6th district since 2019, shared his thoughts and experiences through several tweets on recent events involving military support and law enforcement. Born in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1979, Crow has been actively engaged in legislative duties and addressing concerns related to national security and justice.
On January 22, 2025, Crow expressed gratitude for the opportunity to attend Buckley's annual State of the Base event hosted by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce. Although he was occupied with votes in Washington, he communicated with attendees via video conference to discuss his efforts in supporting Buckley Air Force Base and its servicemembers. "While I was in Washington for votes, I was able to speak with folks by video about my work to support Buckley and our servicemembers", he noted.
On January 23, 2025, Crow met with officers who were involved in the January 6th Capitol attack as they reacted emotionally to former President Donald Trump's decision to release felons convicted of assaulting them. Crow described this action as disrespectful to law enforcement: "The cops broke down in tears as they grappled with their attackers now walking free".
Later that day, Crow highlighted Officer Daniel Hodges' personal account of the violence experienced during the January 6th events. Despite skepticism regarding whether Trump would acknowledge these stories, Crow encouraged others to listen: “I don’t understand how anyone can believe that”, Officer Hodges expressed about the pardoning of those involved.
