Rep. Jason Crow, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Colorado's 6th district, has expressed his concerns regarding Tulsi Gabbard's nomination as the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) through a series of tweets on January 30, 2025.
In his initial tweet, "Tulsi Gabbard is unqualified to be the Director of National Intelligence. Here’s why:", Rep. Crow outlines his position against her nomination.
Further elaborating on his viewpoint in another post from the same date, Rep. Crow emphasized that "In short, it requires experience and a unique skill set. Americans deserve better so they can sleep at night knowing an experienced hand is on the wheel." He urged the Senate to reject Gabbard's nomination.
Explaining the responsibilities associated with the DNI role, he tweeted that "The DNI is responsible for coordinating the activities of agencies like the CIA, FBI, NSA and the sharing of intelligence to protect Americans at home and abroad." He noted that this role demands "a deep understanding of how these agencies work & transmit information."
