Rep. Jason Crow, the U.S. Congressional Representative for Colorado's 6th district, voiced strong criticisms against former President Donald Trump through a series of tweets. Crow, who has represented his district since 2019 and holds a JD from the University of Denver, highlighted concerns over Trump's economic policies, particularly those related to tariffs and trade.

On April 2, 2025, Crow asserted that "Trump is doing NOTHING to lower the cost of housing, health care, or groceries." He criticized the former president’s trade policies, indicating that the ongoing trade war and newly imposed taxes on imports would further inflate prices for essential goods.

Later that same day, Crow tweeted about the broader economic impact of Trump's tariffs, describing them as a form of taxation on American consumers. "Donald Trump is about to tax every American," he wrote, noting that everyday items such as food, energy, and housing would see price increases due to these measures.

The following day, on April 3, Crow continued his critique in another tweet, warning of impending broad financial impacts from Trump's tax plan. He argued, "Trump announced new import taxes of 10% or more on every American." Crow emphasized that these taxes will have a negative effect on personal budgets and the overall economy, increasing costs related to purchasing homes, cars, and groceries.
